If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you’ll know I’m a skin care lover through and through. If it promises to make my face happy then I’m all for it. I think skin care is SO important, and to be fair – I’d always recommend investing in good skin care over good makeup. Lately, I’ve been adding a couple more things to my rotation to tackle my dry and irritated winter skin so I thought I’d talk you all through them today!
The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution
This bad boy is a pretty intense treatment that I have been using once a week for a while now and I’m really enjoying it. It’s a serum that has a thick, gloopy texture that is meant to brighten your skin and promote a more even texture. It goes on a bright red colour, and yes it looks exactly like blood. A bit gross, but after 10 minutes I wash it off and my skin is G L O W I N G. This treatment really helps to plump and clear my skin so I highly recommend it if you’ve got scarring or pigmentation issues!
Mario Badescu Hyaluronic Eye Cream
Hyaluronic acid is a super hydrating ingredient that anyone with dry skin needs to use ASAP. It retains moisture and helps plump out fine lines that appear when skin starts to get dehydrated. This eye cream is infused with brightening botanicals so it’s perfect for under makeup as well as at night. I massage it under my eye and around my orbital bone after moisturising morning and night for super plump and bright eyes!
Mario Badescu Rosewater Facial Spray
This was in my August faves because I am obsessed with using it but the reason I love it is because it’s a super refreshing step after my skin care routine or before makeup. It adds a little bit more moisture to my skin and the rosewater is great for calming my dry winter skin. I have noticed that when my skin is feeling irritated, I can apply this and any redness is taken away and it is also a great pre-makeup spritz.
There ya have it folks! The three products I have been loving to tackle my gross winter skin. What have you been using lately?
Thanks for reading!
