Two things I’m obsessed with right now: embroidery on anything, and flowers. Based on this, you can imagine how high my serotonin levels are right now! I picked up this beautiful satin bomber jacket because I loved the Japanese inspired embroidery on the front as well as the sleeves. The colours are so wearable with this seasons hues of blush pink and soft blue. I paired the jacket with a white linen tee, a loose pleated skirt and my high-top white chucks to make it more casual. I love the look of pairing a pretty detailed jacket with sneakers for a slouchy, daytime vibe.
Today I spent the day with fellow blogger Chenae (check out her blog here!), wandering around Auckland Winter Gardens and taking pictures of my beautiful new embroidered bomber jacket. I was in my element!
The Winter Gardens
The gardens are split up into two greenhouses, and a small “forest” area. The warm greenhouse is home to huge exotic plants, one of which was covered in soft purple hair! And when I say warm, I mean really warm. Chenae and I’s camera lenses kept fogging up so we didn’t manage to get many photos in there! The cold house however, as well as smelling amazing, had hundreds of beautiful little flowers (and probably 1000 bees!). The outdoor area had mainly New Zealand Ferns and a bush with a sign saying “poisonous do not touch” – which I only saw after stroking it’s leaves for a few minutes. Alas, I am still alive so it can’t have been that bad!
I feel so relaxed after spending the day immersed in nature, and can’t wait to get out there and explore more and show you guys some more OOTD’s in my upcoming uni holidays. 2 weeks of no work or study – bliss!
