Mother’s Day is just around the corner which means spoiling the woman who has put up with calling you her child for however long it’s been. Me and my mum are gift givers. We love to choose gifts for the people we love based on things they’ve either mentioned or we just know they’ll love. I kind of consider us the ultimate shoppers when it comes to gifts. For anyone who finds it a little bit harder to choose a gift when they feel like showing their love via a material possession, I am here for you. I have put together a gift guide based on things I believe every mum would love to receive. Obviously, I don’t know your mum – so either use this guide as an inspiration, or follow the links to buy any of the items as listed! Enjoy x
Jasmine does the most incredible prints – all of which are high on my list of future purchases. The prints are all very feminine and pretty, and most have a very neutral colour palette so will suit any home! I think any mum would LOVE this. This A3 print comes without a frame, but Jasmine recommends the Adler frame collection from Country Road.
This candle embraces the scent of figs to create a warm woody scent perfect for Autumn. Diptyque candles are the luxury candle that all mothers deserve! As someone who uses candles to wind-down in the evening, my mum would love this! The scent of Diptyque candles lingers in the room for ages after the flame has been blown out, so you don’t need to light it every time you want to enjoy it!
So this one is a bit cheeky – in getting a gift for your momma, you get something too! This is a super cute gift for the mother who is also your best friend! My mum loves jewellery, especially Stolen Girlfriends Club so she might get lucky this year..
I have an obsession with beautiful books, and books that I can look to for a bit of a pick me up! I have since passed this onto my mum! Whenever I come home with a new pretty book, she always has a flick through them and I’ve caught her ordering her own version of the exact same books I’ve bought before! Her response to this was “Well we can’t share them can we?” I taught her well. I found these super lovely books at Kikki K in their gifts section so obviously had to put them in here. The first one is a mindfulness journal, and the second is a ‘words to inspire’ book filled with positive quotes! Sentimental mums would love these.
These mugs are super cute! I bought one for my mum like two years ago, and it’s still in perfect condition and she loves it! They make such a nice gift if your mum likes Karen Walker designs, and they aren’t overpriced either! They come in a range of styles/designs and all have matching plates. I think the set would make such a nice gift, go the extra mile and get her some tea from T2 as well!
Last but not least, if it’s not flowers and wine you’re buying your momma – homewares should be a go to for Mother’s Day. I know that my mother loves a cosy atmosphere in the evening, and as we head into Autumn a knitted throw is the perfect gift. Country Road do super lovely throws and blankets – and this season they are all neutral tones so will go perfectly in any home.
I hope you enjoyed this Mother’s Day Gift Guide! I had a lot of fun finding gifts that I know a lot of mom’s will adore! Let me know what you’re gonna gift the special lady in your life with this Mother’s Day – I know I have plenty of ideas now!
Love, Lyd x
