Five Podcasts Worth Subscribing To

Podcasts are something that I didn’t give much thought to a few months ago. I wasn’t 100% sure of what they were or why people listened to them. It wasn’t until I got bored with listening to music at work that I decided to see what all the fuss was about – and I’ve never looked back. Okay, dramatic Lyds but they’re pretty cool. There’s a few in rotation that I listen to pretty much non-stop now. When I’m doing chores at home, working, blogging, lying on my bed at night – any time, any place. I’m gonna chat through of my fave podcasts today and hopefully inspire you to subscribe and listen to them because they are seriously worth it!

I talked about this in my August faves but I thought it was worth another mention. It basically does what it says on the box. This podcast is a collection of stories from throughout the years that are unexplainable, spooky and just all around strange. You have to be open to the supernatural to enjoy this podcast but I’ve gotta say, even the most sceptical of you will be questioning everything!

Chasing Ghosts

Missing people stories are my favourite stories to listen to. Not in a fun way, I think it’s heartbreaking but hearing about how these things happen, what comes of strange disappearances and how they try to solve the mystery really intrigues me. There is only one episode out so far, but I’m already looking forward to the next.

The Heart of It

If you watch Estee Lalonde on YouTube, you know she’s one of the few women on their who is 100% authentic, 100% of the time. She is never afraid to speak her mind, and this podcast is no exception. Her outlook on life is refreshing. She’s very sure of herself after spending years second guessing who she was and you can really tell that she’s at a point in her life that she can be herself in. Her podcast covers topics such as feminism, strength, tattoos – everything a bad ass women like you needs in your life!

Crash On My Couch

Will Darbyshire and Arden Rose – the ultimate power couple consisting of a well spoken brit and an eccentric american. This podcast is so fun to listen to, they cover topics such as idiot of the week, weird Japanese things and all the weird and wonderful goings on in the world. They’re super witty and the type of people you just wanna be friends with.

At Home With…

The podcast that was created by two of my all-time fave bloggers just has to make this list, right?! Anna and Lily visit someone new each week and go into their home for a chat about life, work, wellbeing and well, everything in between. They chat like old friends and you definitely don’t get boring old interview vibes here. They’ve interviewed Georgie Cleeve (skincare obsessives, you get me), Liz Earle, Madeleine Shaw – the list is endless and studded with fabulous women from across the beauty industry. Definitely one you wanna curl up in your dressing gown with a cup of tea and binge-listen.

I hope you enjoyed this post, have you listened to any of these podcasts? Let me know what you’ve been listening to in the comments below!

Love, Lyd x

I haven’t listened to any of these but I love podcasts! One you might like is called Black Hands, about the Bain family murders. Fascinating stuff.
