Colourpop No Filter Collection Review

Now ladies (and makeup wearing gents, welcome) you know I have nothing against a good filter to smooth out my skin and make my under eye bags disappear quicker than a bottle of sav at a BYO but nothing beats being able to put #nofilter in the caption of your latest selfie on Instagram, right? We’re all after that my-skin-but-better vibe and I don’t know about you but I am all over brands that offer that at an affordable price point. The Colourpop No Filter collection consists of a full coverage foundation, a concealer and a loose setting powder. I’ve been trying them out for a couple of weeks now and I’m here to divulge my inner most thoughts. Enjoy!

Okay, so for something to be classed as “full coverage”, it’s gonna need to cover everything and unfortunately this foundation misses the mark ever so slightly. Don’t get me wrong, I really like it, it’s just not double wear vibes. I’d say it’s medium and a half coverage, but totally buildable and would get you there is you tried hard enough. I actually really enjoy this level of coverage, I like my skin to look like skin but definitely appreciate the fact I can layer this up. In terms of what I like in a foundation, I totally rate this product but be aware that it isn’t total acne-scarring-and-all coverage. $12 USD, I am sold.

I absolutely LOVE this concealer. It definitely falls in my top 3 concealers of all time so you know it’s good. It’s quite hydrating, doesn’t stick to dry patches and is super brightening under the eyes. This is probably the only concealer I can wear under my eyes and not get major creasing. For $6 USD, I always order two because I really can’t live without it!

Setting Powder

I have been searching high and low for a good setting powder that doesn’t make my face dry and I think I’ve got a strong contender here. This setting powder is amazing for setting under the eyes, and a quick sweep over the rest of my face keeps my makeup in place for hours without caking or creasing. This loose powder comes to $9 USD bringing the total for the collection to a modest $27 USD.

Will you be trying anything from the Colourpop No Filter collection? If you’re after a makeup collection revamp I totally recommend picking up some eyeshadows and blushers too, they are game changing!

Very happy to hear the concealer doesn’t stick to dry patches – I’ve just ordered the foundation and concealer but have been a little worried they won’t work for my skin. Fingers crossed!
