Thanksgiving! What a time to be alive, amirite? Despite residing in a part of the world that doesn’t celebrate the day of thanks, we still get to cash in on their Black Friday deals. This year, I decided to give Colourpop liquid lipsticks a go – I’ve heard lots of wonderful reviews and 20% wasn’t a bad offer. I also grabbed one of their blushes, which i’m loving so far! Here are my thoughts on the products I picked up, enjoy!
Ultra Matte Liquid Lipsticks
The colours are pretty true to how they looked online! If anything, they’re slightly darker on me than I thought however most lipsticks are. I really liked their selection of colours especially the nude shades. They had so many different tones of nude/brown which is great for us pale gals right through to those of you with darker skin tones.
The formula itself is quite thin which I find is easiest to work with. They dry pretty quickly so there’s no time for them to smudge. They feel really nice on my lips – not too drying or sticky. Re-application was great too, the layers didn’t cake up or sink into the lines in my lips.
These stayed flawlessly for at least 6 hours, and then after re-applying after eating etc, they lasted another 3-4. 10 hours wear is so good, I didn’t have to worry when I was at work that my lips were wearing off or looking gross.
The lipsticks were really easy to remove. A lot of liquid lipsticks are a pain to get off however they came off nicely with my usual make up removing routine!
LAX, Beeper and Teeny Tiny
I would 100% recommend these lipsticks – especially if you’re new to liquid formulas and want to try them out before splurging on a pricier brand. In saying that, I don’t feel any need to ‘upgrade’ to a more expensive brand as the colour range with Colourpop is insane!
Soft Matte Blush in Aphrodisiac
I really like this blush. I opted for a pretty neutral colour that I could use to warm up my face without a major pop of colour and it does the trick nicely. The formula isn’t too powdery, and looks really natural on my skin.
Thanks for reading! Have you tried anything from Colourpop before?
As always, love Lyd x
