My Favourite Things From August

Another month has passed and ya know what that means?! A new favourites post! YAY! I’ve fallen in love with some real gems this past month so I’m really excited to share it all with you. I’ve got a little bit of skin care and some makeup in the mix for you, so let’s get started!

MAC 15 eyeshadow palette – Warm Neutrals

This palette has been in my care for almost a year now, but only in the last month have I really played around with it. At first, the eyeshadows weren’t colour I was really used to wearing. There is a lot of warm, red-toned neutrals and I was more used to wearing cool tones on my eyes. Recently though, I’ve really loved how warm colours have been making my green eyes look so this palette has been great. I mostly stick to the matte shades for during the day and the shimmery shades for a more night-time look.

Simple Makeup Removing wipes

I’ve never been a makeup wipe kinda gal, I’ve always felt that they didn’t really do much for my skin and preferred to pre-cleanse with an oil. That was until I reached a point in my life where I was either studying or working 15 hours a day and didn’t have the time or energy to come home and faff around with cleansing twice. I found these wipes in my local Kmart and saw they had Zinc on them, which is great for problem skin. These wipes have become a firm favourite! I’ve been using them to take my makeup off before cleansing when I’m too tired to function. They have made such a difference to my skin – it has been clearer and blemishes have been less red. Overall, 10/10 makeup wipes.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer

This concealer is really really good, a very long-standing favourite of mine! It’s as simple as that really, I wouldn’t reach for anything else to cover up blemishes! It’s super affordable and the tube lasts for a really long time. The formula is creamy and hydrating, and lasts really well throughout the day. A little gem really!

Benefit Rockateur Blush

This blush has made its way back into my everyday rotation recently and I’m loving it. It’s very autumnal as it’s quite a warm pink, but I definitely wear this through the spring and summer too. A light wash over the apples of my cheeks and towards my temples really gives my pale skin a bit of life haha.

MAC Prep + Prime Translucent Powder

When I first got this powder I wasn’t a fan at all! I think I was using it too heavily and found that it made me look super powdery. Recently I picked it up again and It’s been a lot better at setting my foundation now that I’m using a lighter application.

I’m loving your favourites! I find I usually don’t like using makeup wipes because they make my skin breakout, but I’m going to have to try those Simple wipes since you mentioned that they are great for problem skin! Thanks for the tip!

Hey! Yeah I usually hate them but these have really helped clear up some of my annoying breakouts with the zinc in them 🙂 i can use them on my eyes too, and they don’t irritate them which is always good! X
