Guess who turned 22 on Tuesday! I feel like 22 sounds so old, when in reality – I’m still the baby of my friend group. I spent the day having smashed avo on toast with my best friend, then got another tattoo in the arvo! For this weeks post, I wanted to kinda do a round-up of everything I thought about on my birthday – my fave childhood memories, what I’ve learnt and what I wanna achieve by 23. Some of you may not think birthdays are that big of a deal but I’ve always placed a lot of importance on the day to refresh and start off a new year of living. Let’s kick things of with a classic Lyds list – aaaaand go!
My fave childhood memories
Christmas at my Nana’s house. Snow, Christmas jumpers & roast potatoes. Yes.
Holidaying in France! Fields of sunflowers and perfect tiny beaches. See above for the cutest lil pic of me, Mum & Ellie.
Wearing matching jackets with my dad and thinking he was the coolest guy EVER.
Having 3-legged-races with my sister around our room in the middle of the night.
What I’ve learnt in 22 years
It’s better to have a few good friends, than a lot of bad friends.
Don’t spend too much time finding clothes that “flatter” your shape. Wear what you want.
Life is short – get the tattoo, buy the jacket.
Self confidence is more than how you look. It’s confidence in your abilities and opinions too.
What I want to achieve by 23
Get a marketing job! I have my degree at the tips of my fingers so it’s in reach!
Solo travelling. Philippines, Vietnam & Cambodia are on the list.
Produce film photos. I want to capture and print more memories.
Find peace with myself. I over think and over analyse a lot of situations!
GRADUATE! I’m so close!
I hope you enjoyed my lil birthday ramble! Thanks for reading!
As always, love Lyd x
